Job Description:
At Regions, the Enterprise PMO Portfolio Manager serves in a critical leadership role within the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and is responsible for governing the enterprise portfolio of strategic initiatives and investments. This role provides oversight across business, operational, regulatory, risk, and technology initiatives, ensuring investments are aligned to enterprise strategy, organizational capacity, and expected business outcomes. Additionally, this role partners closely with executive leadership to facilitate prioritization, investment governance, resource planning, benefits realization, and portfolio performance management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Leads enterprise portfolio management activities, including demand intake, initiative evaluation, prioritization, governance, resource planning, and portfolio optimization
- Monitors project health and delivery practices, offering strategic direction, challenges, and corrective recommendations to ensure successful outcomes
- Partners with business and technology leaders to align strategic initiatives and investments with organizational objectives, priorities, and available resources
- Facilitates investment governance processes and provides recommendations regarding initiative prioritization, funding allocation, sequencing, and investment decisions
- Establishes and maintains portfolio governance standards, methodologies, performance measures, reporting frameworks, and decision-making processes
- Develops and maintains integrated portfolio roadmaps that provide visibility into strategic initiatives, milestones, dependencies, investment performance, and expected outcomes
- Leads enterprise demand management and capacity planning activities to balance resource availability with organizational priorities and investment needs
- Assesses and manages portfolio-level risks, resource conflicts, competing priorities, and cross-functional dependencies that may impact strategic objectives
- Facilitates portfolio governance reviews and executive discussions by providing analysis, recommendations, and visibility into portfolio health and performance
- Produces executive-level reporting, dashboards, and analytics that support informed decision-making, strategic planning, and investment oversight
- Assesses organizational change impacts across initiatives and support sequencing, prioritization, and adoption readiness decisions to maximize successful outcomes
- Drives continuous improvement of portfolio management practices, governance processes, performance measurement frameworks, and value realization methodologies
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, risk management standards, cybersecurity expectations, and industry best practices
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Organizational Leadership, Project Management, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in portfolio management, strategic planning, program management, business transformation or related discipline
- Or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting or related field and eight (8) years of directly related experience at a top tier consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey and Company, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Bain, Deloitte, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Ernst and Young (EY), etc.)
- Or High School Diploma or GED and fourteen (14) years of experience in portfolio management, strategic planning, program management, business transformation or related discipline
- Three (3) years of experience leading teams and/or managing portfolio, program, or project management professionals
- Experience supporting enterprise governance forums and executive-level decision-making
- Experience with portfolio financial management, investment analysis, and budget forecasting
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations with complex portfolios and competing priorities
Preferences
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Organizational Leadership, Information Technology, or related field
- Applicable change management certifications (e.g., Prosci, Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP), etc.)
- Applicable project management certifications (e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Institute Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), SAFe Agilist, etc.)
- Experience establishing or transforming enterprise portfolio management capabilities, governance frameworks, and operating models
- Experience supporting business transformation, strategic execution, or organizational change initiatives

- Strong risk management and governance expertise

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Incentive Pay Plans:
