Job Description

Ready to take your career global?

Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for a Senior Cyber Issues Analyst to join our ever evolving Cyber Risk Management team and help shape the future of global commerce. You’ll play a critical role in strengthening Global Payments’ cyber resilience by evaluating complex security control gaps, influencing risk decisions and driving timely remediation across the enterprise. As a trusted cybersecurity subject matter expert, you’ll partner with technology, risk, compliance and audit teams to turn technical findings into clear business risk decisions, strengthen accountability and provide leaders with greater visibility into our cyber risk posture. Your expertise will help protect our clients, colleagues and technology while advancing the secure, resilient foundation Global Payments needs to innovate and grow.

What you’ll own

- Drive cybersecurity issues toward timely resolution by influencing remediation owners, removing barriers and escalating emerging risks to strengthen accountability and reduce residual risk across the enterprise.
- Shape informed cyber risk decisions by evaluating control gaps, risk ratings, compensating controls and risk acceptance requests against the evolving threat landscape and business impact.
- Strengthen remediation outcomes by challenging and improving remediation plans to ensure they are technically sound, appropriately scoped and capable of delivering sustainable risk reduction within approved timelines.
- Turn complex cyber risk into actionable insight by identifying systemic control gaps, emerging themes and remediation trends that give senior leaders and governance teams clearer visibility into the organization’s risk posture.
- Advance the Cyber Risk Management function by applying intelligent workflows, agentic artificial intelligence (AI), analytics and automation to accelerate risk insights, reduce manual effort and improve the consistency and effectiveness of issue management.

What you’ll bring

- 7+ years of progressive experience in information security, cybersecurity risk management, information technology governance or a related discipline, including demonstrated success evaluating cybersecurity control gaps and managing issues, exceptions or remediation.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and regulatory requirements, including the National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework (NIST CSF), ISO/IEC 27001, Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) .
- Working knowledge across key cybersecurity domains, including privileged access management, web application firewalls, vulnerability management, network segmentation, encryption, cloud security and endpoint protection , with the ability to assess risk holistically.
- Hands-on experience with governance, risk and compliance (GRC) platforms , such as Archer, and the analytical judgment to develop clear, defensible recommendations in complex environments.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical cyber risk into clear business impact and influence stakeholders across technology, business, enterprise risk, compliance and audit teams without relying on direct reporting authority.

It’s a bonus if you have

- One or more relevant cybersecurity or risk certifications, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) .
- Experience working within the financial services or payments industry , with an understanding of the security, regulatory and operational considerations of highly regulated environments.
- Experience with industry audit and assessment standards such as Service Organization Control (SOC) 1, SOC 2, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), PCI DSS or regulatory examinations .
