General Summary:
The PR & Community Engagement Manager strengthens the public voice, reputation, and community presence of PMI Entertainment Group through public relations, social media, community engagement, internal communications, digital reputation management, and video storytelling. This role creates engaging content for events, venues, community programs, guest experiences, team members, and behind-the-scenes activity while ensuring communications are timely, accurate, professional, and brand-aligned. The ideal candidate brings experience in PR, communications, marketing, publicity, or social/digital content creation and thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment.

Job Functions:

Strategic Communications & Public Relations

- Serve as publicity lead/publicist for select touring and annual events, such as Disney On Ice, Monster Jam, WIAA, and for designated business units/events, such as Green Bay Gamblers and Blue Green Events.

- Develop and execute a comprehensive public relations, social media, and community engagement strategy that supports the Resch Complexs brand, business goals, event visibility, and community presence.

- Plan, develop, and execute public relations campaigns for priority events, organizational initiatives, and community programs, including campaign timelines, key messages, media outreach, spokesperson preparation, and follow-up reporting.

- Write, edit, localize, and distribute press materials, advisories, talking points, video assets, and media kits for events and corporate announcements.

- Serve as a primary storyteller for the PMI by creating engaging content that highlights upcoming concerts, sporting events, trade shows, conventions, consumer shows, family events, community programs, guest experiences, partnerships, and behind-the-scenes activity.

- Serve as primary media contact and company/media spokesperson for corporate, non-event, and industry news-related matters.

- Facilitate crisis communications and sensitive public messaging in coordination with leadership, ensuring communications are accurate, timely, professional, and aligned with organizational standards.

- Develop and maintain crisis communication plans, talking points, response protocols, and escalation procedures in coordination with leadership to support timely, accurate, and consistent messaging during sensitive or high-profile situations.

- Coordinate press conferences, interviews, and on-site media opportunities.

- Serve as event or backup spokesperson for Gamblers, TicketStar, Resch Complex, Meyer Theatre and Blue Green Events, including radio, TV, and appearances.

- Coordinate, attend, and supervise early-morning PR activations and promotional opportunities throughout the organization.

- Stay current on industry trends and local news to provide informed communication guidance.

Video, Digital & Social Content

- Develop short-form video content for internal and external platforms.

- Capture, edit, and publish multimedia content for events, announcements, and brand storytelling.

- Co-own and lead the day-to-day development and execution of PMIs YouTube/video strategy in partnership with the Marketing Managers, including content planning, channel growth, video optimization, performance tracking, and cross-platform storytelling.

- Develop recurring video content concepts such as event previews, behind-the-scenes features, community highlights, artist/promoter support, employee spotlights, venue education, and post-event recaps.

- Track video and digital content performance, using insights to improve reach and engagement.

- Manage day-to-day social media platforms, including content planning, copywriting, scheduling, posting, monitoring, audience engagement, issue escalation, and performance tracking.

- Ensure digital content aligns with PMI brand standards.

- Collaborate with marketing, ticketing, guest services, operations, food and beverage, sales, sponsorship, and event management teams to ensure consistent messaging and a coordinated guest-facing approach.

Internal Communications

- Demonstrate and embody the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.

- Serve as the primary content creator for internal newsletters and company announcements.

- Communicate leadership updates and coordinate internal messaging across departments.

- Lead communication components of the PMI orientation program for new full-time employees.

Community Relations & Corporate Initiatives

- Build relationships with local media, community organizations, civic leaders, nonprofits, tourism partners, chambers, schools, neighborhood groups, and key stakeholders.

- Represent PMI at community meetings, networking events, business functions, tourism activities, and other public events as assigned.

- Track, document, and communicate PMIs community involvement, charitable partnerships, donations, tours, and outreach efforts for internal awareness, external storytelling, and leadership reporting.

- Coordinate and conduct tours for college, high school, and community groups.

Digital Reputation & Customer Response

- Monitor and respond to Google reviews for PMI, Resch Center, Resch Expo, Meyer Theatre, Blue Green Events, and the Green Bay Gamblers.

- Respond to and triage guest feedback received through digital channels, resolving routine concerns and escalating sensitive or reputation-critical issues as appropriate.

Event & Media Support

- Coordinate photographers for concerts and other major events.

- Coordinate on-site support for tour publicists and media teams.

- Provide direction, coordination, and oversight to interns, photographers, content contributors, or event support staff as assigned.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

- Build and maintain TicketStar event listings for all venues.

- Submit event information to Discover Green Bay and other community-driven calendars.

- Update guest-facing communication systems, and other announcements.

- Update building, parking, and other operational information across relevant websites as needed.

- Schedule alerts on the Resch Complex and TicketStar website homepages when needed.

- Manage incoming donation requests by tracking submissions, eliminating duplication, and processing or escalating requests that require communication support.

- Maintain consistent brand voice, visual standards, messaging, and tone across communications.

- Attend department meetings, contribute to marketing brainstorms, and support cross-functional initiatives.

- Maintain professional appearance, uphold safety protocols, and follow PMI energy-conservation guidelines.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related field.

- 3–5 years of experience in PR, communications, marketing, publicity, or social/digital content roles.

- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills across press, digital, and video formats.

- Experience producing short-form videos or multimedia content.

- Demonstrated understanding of YouTube strategy, video SEO, content optimization, audience development, analytics, and best practices for growing engagement through video, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally on channel strategy and execution.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships internally and externally.

- Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to assess situations, develop appropriate communication strategies, and execute with sound judgment.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, video editing tools, social media platforms, YouTube Studio, content management systems, and basic analytics/reporting tools.

- Proactively identifies communication, content, partnership, and community engagement opportunities that support organizational visibility, guest engagement, and business goals.

- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and event days as business needs require.
