Job Title: Corporate Communications Support Job Description
This temporary Corporate Communications Support role provides short-term project management and communications support during a leave of absence. Over approximately three months, you will help the Corporate Communications team coordinate and execute strategic communications initiatives, ensuring continuity of ongoing projects and communication programs. You will focus on operational and administrative support for existing communications specialists and business partners, rather than leading communication strategy development.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the execution of ongoing corporate communications initiatives to ensure continuity of communication programs.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, action-item trackers, and status reports to keep stakeholders informed and projects on schedule.
- Assist with communications planning and program implementation across multiple initiatives and channels.
- Draft, format, and edit communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, and briefing documents, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Coordinate stakeholder reviews and approval processes to ensure timely completion of communication deliverables.
- Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, document action items, and monitor follow-up activities to support effective collaboration.
- Support planning and logistics for communications-related meetings, events, and employee engagement activities.
- Maintain communication calendars, project documentation, and distribution lists to keep information organized and accessible.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information, understand communications needs, and support related activities.
- Perform administrative and project coordination activities necessary to maintain continuity of communications programs during the temporary assignment.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 24 years of experience in communications, project coordination, event coordination, administrative support, or a related area.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft and edit professional communications materials.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience supporting internal communications initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Background in administrative support within a corporate or communications-focused environment.
- Familiarity with project management practices such as maintaining timelines, trackers, and status reports.
- Comfort collaborating with a variety of internal stakeholders and coordinating review and approval processes.
Work Environment
This is an approximately three-month temporary assignment based in Torrance, supporting a corporate communications function. You will work closely with communications specialists and business partners, using Microsoft 365 tools such as Teams, Word, and PowerPoint to manage projects, documentation, and communication materials. The role involves regular meetings, coordination of events and engagement activities, and the maintenance of communication calendars and project records in a professional office setting.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
