About this role
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced EDIFACT / VB.NET Developer with strong hands-on experience in EDIFACT, VB.NET, and SQL Server . The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting applications and integrations involving EDIFACT message processing and business workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications using VB.NET .
- Work extensively with EDIFACT standards, message formats, mapping, validation, and processing.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain SQL Server queries, stored procedures, functions, and database components.
- Troubleshoot application and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Support EDIFACT interfaces, message processing, and integration-related issues.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, and other technical teams to deliver solutions.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure quality and reliability.
- Participate in production support and resolve technical issues within agreed timelines.
- Document technical solutions, integration flows, and application changes.
Requirements
Required Skills – Must Have
- Strong hands-on experience with EDIFACT .
- Strong development experience in VB.NET .
- Strong experience with SQL Server , including queries and stored procedures.
- Good understanding of application development, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to understand existing code and integration flows and make enhancements independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience with C# .
- Experience with ASP.NET .
- Exposure to integration/API-based development.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.

- Good technical communication and ability to explain technical solutions clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
