Position Overview/Primary Purpose
The EDI/MFT Senior Integration Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust integration solutions that support electronic data interchange (EDI) and managed file transfer (MFT) processes. This role ensures seamless, secure, and scalable data exchanges between internal systems and external partners. The position focuses on implementing best practices, troubleshooting complex issues, optimizing performance, and driving continuous improvement of enterprise integration platforms to meet evolving business and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable EDI mappings and MFT solutions using Seeburger BIS and BIS Link, ensuring alignment with business and integration architecture standards.
- Configure partner profiles, trading relationships, and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, HTTP, etc.), enabling secure and reliable B2B connectivity with trading partners.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain EDI mappings and transformations using Seeburger BICMD Mapping Designer, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across systems.
- Proactively monitor EDI/MFT processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and performance of integration flows; provide L2/L3 support for incidents and error resolution.
- Lead and execute Seeburger implementation projects end-to-end, from requirement gathering through deployment, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and quality expectations.
- Work closely with internal teams, business users, and external partners to gather requirements, provide technical expertise, and ensure successful integration outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, data security, and compliance requirements; manage and perform production deployments of mappings and workflows as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Level of Education and Discipline
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Certifications and/or Licenses
Certification in Seeburger BIS or related Seeburger technologies
Experience
- 8–10+ years of experience in EDI, B2B integration, and Managed File Transfer domains
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with Seeburger BIS platform
- Strong, hands-on experience with:
Seeburger Business Integration Suite (BIS 7 and above)
- Seeburger BICMD Mapping Designer
- BIS Manager and BIS Link
- EDI and MFT implementations
- Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale B2B integration landscapes, including partner onboarding and multi-protocol communication
- Strong understanding of EDI standards and formats: EDIFACT, ANSI X12, EANCOM, Tradacoms, UCS, VIC.S
- Expertise in communication protocols such as AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, HTTP/S
- Proficiency in data mapping, transformation, routing, and error handling
- Experience integrating Seeburger with SAP (IDoc, RFC, Proxy, APIs) and understanding of SAP ABAP concepts
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, message lifecycle, and security frameworks (encryption, signing, certificates)
- Strong functional and business knowledge to translate requirements into effective integration solutions

- Ability to collaborate effectively with business teams, architects, and external trading partners
- Strong communication skills to articulate integration designs, issues, and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience mentoring junior team members and sharing Seeburger best practices

- Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills across multiple partners and systems
- Ability to work independently and manage complex integration initiatives end-to-end
