THE POSITION

The Movement Security Coordinator supports the Manager Protective Security in the detailed planning, coordination, administration and operational tracking of official movements requiring security arrangements. The role maintains the consolidated movement security operating picture and works closely with Team Security, TSLOs, the RSLO, VSSMs, Transport, Team Services and relevant public security counterparts to ensure that movement requirements, changes and operational updates are accurately captured, communicated and implemented.

The role is responsible for maintaining timely and reliable movement information using relevant FIFA systems, web-based platforms and databases, and for ensuring that significant changes, risks or dependencies are communicated promptly to the appropriate operational stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Protective Security Manager in the detailed planning and coordination of movement security arrangements, including routes, escort requirements, departure and arrival arrangements, secure loading and unloading points, contingencies and other relevant measures.
- Maintain accurate movement schedules, security requirements, escort requests, route information and associated operational documentation.
- Coordinate and track public security escort requests, confirmations, changes and outstanding actions.
- Maintain the consolidated movement security operating picture, including schedules, escort status, route information, operational changes and issues requiring escalation.
- Use relevant FIFA systems, web-based platforms and databases to capture, maintain and update movement information and associated operational data.
- Ensure that movement information is accurate, current and communicated in a timely manner to the relevant Safety & Security and tournament stakeholders.
- Work closely with Transport and Team Services to align movement security requirements with official transport schedules, team programes and operational changes.
- Coordinate with Team Security, TSLOs and the RSLO to obtain and validate team and referee movement security requirements, schedule changes and delegation-specific information.
- Coordinate with VSSMs on origin and destination readiness, local route considerations and other host city requirements supporting team, referee and designated protected movements.
- Coordinate detailed movement information with relevant public security counterparts under the direction of the Manager Protective Security.
- Monitor changes to movement schedules, routes, timings, destinations and operational requirements and ensure that relevant updates are communicated promptly to affected stakeholders.
- Support route assessments, contingency planning and other operational preparations where required.
- Maintain movement security records, trackers, briefing materials and reporting information.
- Support tournament-time movement operations and escalate significant changes, risks, conflicts or information gaps promptly.
- Contribute to post-operation reporting, lessons identified and required adjustments to movement security arrangements.

YOUR PROFILE

Education
- Degree or professional training in security, transport operations, logistics, law enforcement or a related field desirable.
Experience
- Relevant experience in security operations, transport security, movement planning, law enforcement, major events or a comparable coordination role.
- Experience coordinating complex schedules, operational movements, escort requirements or transport-related security arrangements.
- Experience working across operational functions such as security, transport, team services or delegation operations.
- Experience maintaining operational trackers, schedules, databases or other structured information in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience using web-based operational platforms, databases or event management systems to capture and maintain operational data.
- Experience working with police, security services, transport teams or other operational stakeholders is desirable.
- Experience in major sporting events or other large-scale events is desirable.

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant operational planning and information management tools.
Certifications & Requirements
- Right to work in Brazil.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Fluent in Portuguese (spoken and written)
- Ability to re-locate to Rio de Janeiro.
- Willingness to travel nationally and work extended or irregular hours during tournament periods.
