Introduction

We are looking for a CNS Operational Purchasing Specialist NCA to join our Consumables Supply Chain Organization in North and Central America . In this role, you will execute operational purchasing activities that ensure material availability, reliable supply, and purchasing excellence across the region. You will play a key role in supporting supply continuity, mitigating supply risks, and driving operational efficiency while contributing to a customer-focused supply chain organization. You will report to the Manager, CNS Operational Purchasing NCA.

This role is based in North America with hybrid working options available.

Team you will belong to

You will join our CNS Operational Purchasing Team within the Consumables Supply Chain Organization. The team is focused on ensuring efficient operational purchasing execution, maintaining supply reliability, and supporting seamless material flow throughout the region.

Our team plays a key role in enabling business continuity by ensuring materials are available when needed while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. We collaborate closely with suppliers, market areas, business lines, logistics, sourcing, and supply chain stakeholders to achieve our objectives.

What you'll do

- Execute day-to-day operational purchasing activities to ensure material availability and continuity of supply.

- Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders and supplier confirmations.

- Monitor supplier delivery performance, order acknowledgements, and lead times.

- Coordinate with market areas, business lines, logistics, sourcing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless material flow.

- Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and increase operational efficiency.

- Leverage analytics, digital tools, and automation to improve visibility, identify risks, and streamline purchasing activities.

- Identify, monitor, and support resolution of operational supply risks and issues.

- Contribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of operational purchasing processes across North and Central America.

What you'll bring

- Experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, materials management, or a related field.

- Experience managing purchase orders and coordinating with supply chain stakeholders.

- Solid understanding of ERP and purchasing systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience identifying, managing, and escalating supply risks.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to work with KPIs, operational data, and performance metrics.

- Proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Nice to Have

- Experience in a multinational or international supply chain environment.

- Experience with Power BI, Excel, or other data analytics and visualization tools.

- Experience with supplier performance management and operational escalations.

- Experience working effectively within a matrix organization and across geographical regions.
