SUMMARY OF POSITION
Kinsley Materials is seeking an experienced and motivated Heavy Truck Mechanic to join our growing team in York, PA. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a fleet of heavy trucks and equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience troubleshooting a variety of truck systems, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.
TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct preventative maintenance, PA inspections, and essential truck repairs, including brakes, electrical, suspension, hydraulic, exhaust, and chassis.
- Run OEM software diagnostic tests and analyze results to ensure optimal truck performance.
- Perform and document routinely scheduled maintenance activities.
- Practice and uphold safe work habits in all tasks.
- Fulfill other related duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced mechanical knowledge
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- CDL license required.
- Class 3 inspection license required.
- Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems
- Welding experience preferred, but not required.
- Must have own tools.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Must be motivated and willing to seek self-improvement.
