Your new role

- Investigate, lead and resolve P&I claims in a professional and efficient manner
- Identify and investigate coverage issues
- Manage third parties, including P&I correspondents, surveyors, and lawyers
- Provide advice and mentorship to other members of the claims team
- Maintain accurate and consistent claim reserves in accordance with the QBE claims reserving philosophy
- Collaborate closely with underwriters, brokers, and assureds
- Manage claims on the claims management system (CALM)
- Maintain the document filing system (ODM)

​ About you

- International Group P&I Club or a fixed premium P&I provider background
- P&I experience of offshore claims, tugboat/towage, specialist operations, and contract review work are particularly desirable
- Understanding of class specific P&I claims knowledge, leading on the handling of complex matters
- Strong organisational, investigative, analytical and negotiation skills with the ability to make balanced and impartial judgements
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy case load.
- Current knowledge of compliance, regulatory and statutory requirements
- Effective presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and confidently to clients, brokers and internal stakeholders
- Able to build and maintain positive working Relationships
- Able to produce MI and detailed reports at various levels
