The Opportunity

Are you ready to apply your actuarial expertise in a truly global reinsurance environment?

We're looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Reinsurance Pricing & Analytics team, supporting the pricing, profitability analysis and portfolio management of Property & Casualty reinsurance business across Latin America. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of commercial decision-making, partnering with underwriters, catastrophe modellers, portfolio managers and actuarial colleagues to help drive profitable growth.

You'll gain exposure to a diverse range of treaty and facultative reinsurance business while working within a collaborative, international team focused on innovation, analytical excellence and continuous improvement.

Your New Role

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst, you'll play an important role in supporting pricing decisions and portfolio management activities across the Latin American reinsurance portfolio. You'll apply actuarial techniques, analyse complex datasets and generate insights that help shape underwriting and strategic business decisions.

Main responsibilities:

- Perform actuarial pricing analyses for proportional and non-proportional reinsurance treaties.
- Develop loss cost estimates using a range of actuarial pricing techniques.
- Analyse exposure data, historical claims experience and portfolio performance to inform underwriting decisions.
- Assess treaty structures including Excess of Loss, Stop Loss, Quota Share, Surplus and Aggregate Covers.
- Support the preparation of pricing recommendations and underwriting submissions.
- Monitor portfolio profitability and key performance indicators.
- Conduct rate adequacy reviews and loss ratio analyses.
- Analyse trends relating to frequency, severity, catastrophe exposure and emerging risks.
- Build and enhance actuarial models, pricing tools and management reporting solutions.
- Work with large datasets to identify trends and generate actionable business insights.
- Develop dashboards and analytical reporting tools to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance and portfolio management teams across the business.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, portfolio optimisation projects and continuous improvement activities.

About You

We're looking for an analytical and commercially minded actuarial professional who enjoys solving complex problems and translating data into meaningful business insight. You'll be comfortable collaborating with a range of stakeholders and eager to contribute within a fast-paced, international reinsurance environment.

Skills and experience you'll bring:

- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline.
- 3-5 years of actuarial experience within the Property & Casualty insurance or reinsurance market.
- Experience supporting the pricing of treaty reinsurance business.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience using analytical tools such as SQL, Python, R or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative mindset, curiosity and willingness to challenge assumptions constructively.

It would be great if you also have:

- Progress towards a recognised actuarial qualification (SOA, CAS, IFoA or equivalent).
- Experience working with catastrophe modelling outputs.
- Knowledge of international Property & Casualty insurance and reinsurance markets.
- Exposure to portfolio management and capital optimisation concepts.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other business intelligence and visualisation tools.
