Schedule:
- Monday: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
- Thursday: 12:00 PM–4:00 PM
Location: Cedarbrook
CareOne Senior Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable caregiver to provide care and support for a sweet male client in Rochester Hills. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent part-time schedule while making a meaningful difference in a client's daily life.
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage the client in a supportive manner
- Maintain the client's safety throughout the shift
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide gait belt assistance as needed
- Assist with wheelchair mobility and safety
- Check and change briefs as needed
- Provide light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Accompany the client to physical therapy when scheduled
- Communicate with the client's wife and CareOne Senior Care regarding the client's needs and care
- Follow all CareOne Senior Care and Cedarbrook care requirements
The client's wife will be present in the home and available to assist as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred
- Experience assisting clients with gait belts and wheelchairs preferred
- Comfortable providing personal care and assistance with ADLs
- Dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Compassionate and professional
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work independently and follow the client's care plan
Requirements
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
- Must have a current TB test or complete the required TB testing
- Must complete Cedarbrook's required third-party DocuSign paperwork
- Must meet all CareOne Senior Care hiring requirements
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the client's home
- Must be able to consistently work the scheduled Monday and Thursday shifts
