Job Summary

We are looking for a talented and highly experienced Sr Staff Software Engineer to join the Idira Credential Provider group, part of our Secrets Management business unit. The Credential Provider is a core product within our division  widely adopted by a large customer base and heavily utilized in their environments.

As a senior technical pillar in our brand-new team in Bulgaria, you will play a crucial role in building the product's foundation. While remaining deeply hands-on, you are expected to make a significant, broad impact shaping technical discussions, driving design decisions, and elevating engineering practices not only within the local team but also in direct collaboration with our R&D group

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain complex core components of the Idira Credential Provider product.
- Drive broad technical influence across multiple engineering teams, fostering a cohesive and collaborative cross-site R&D culture.
- Partner with Principal Engineers, Architects, and Product leaders to drive architectural decisions and solve complex systemic challenges.
- Drive continuous product hardening and security enhancements by translating complex threat scenarios into actionable, robust engineering solutions.
- Elevate the team’s capabilities by mentoring peers, leading design reviews, and setting a high bar for code quality and modern engineering practices.
- Proactively adopt and promote new methodologies, including AI-driven development workflows and continuous integration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 6+ years of hands-on software development experience, with deep proficiency in C++ alongside Java, C#, or Go/Python.
- Broad Impact & Delivery: Proven track record of delivering large-scale, complex engineering projects end-to-end in a global environment.
- Cross-Site Collaboration: Exceptional ability to articulate technical ideas, reflect architectural decisions, and create strong technical alignment with overseas counterparts.
- System Design Insight: Strong background in backend server programming (including multithreaded programming and performance tuning) with a keen eye for scalable architecture.
- Cross-OS C++ Proficiency: Hands-on experience developing in C++ across multiple operating systems  with strong learning agility.
- Innovation & AI: Strong passion for AI-driven development and adopting cutting-edge engineering tools.
- Mindset: Highly proactive, self-driven, and methodical. An "out-of-the-box" thinker who drives excellence and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

- Deep experience in Cyber Security, Secrets Management, Identity Security, or OS-level security architecture.
- Active integration of AI-assisted coding tools into daily development workflows.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud technology stack and modern CI/CD practices (Jenkins, Artifactory).
