The primary objective of the Senior Manager - Governance and People & Culture, US Finance is to partner with and support the Americas Finance Chief Operating Office r ( COO) team across People & Culture, governance and strategic coordination. This role will help create a connected, inclusive and high-performing Finance community, while strengthening governance routines, meeting effectiveness, decision-making and follow-through across key Finance forums and initiatives.

The role will coordinate and enhance People & Culture activity, support governance forums including the Innovation Working Group and Innovation Design Authority, provide secretariat support for the Finance Management Meeting, and ensure structured team communications, actions and decisions are effectively managed through to completion.

As our Senior Manager People & Culture and Governance , you will:

- Plan, coordinate and enhance Finance town halls, including agenda development, speaker coordination, content preparation, logistics, communications, interactive elements, feedback collection and post-event action tracking

- Coordinate Finance offsites, leadership events and team meetings, ensuring clear objectives, engaging content, effective facilitation and documented outputs. Capture agreed actions and monitor delivery after each event

- Coordinate the annual and in-year talent review process, including preparation of materials, collation of inputs, identification of key talent and critical roles, succession planning and development actions. Maintain ongoing engagement with Finance leadership to ensure agreed talent actions are executed, progress is monitored, barriers are escalated and outcomes are delivered

- Establish and coordinate regular people-focused governance forums, including a quarterly Finance People Forum, bringing together senior leaders to review talent priorities, succession plans, development actions, organizational effectiveness and workforce risks

- Operate within HSBC’s governance, risk and control expectations, escalating issues and concerns promptly and maintaining a clear audit trail where appropriate

- Provide coordination and secretariat support for the Innovation Working Group, including agenda planning, pre-read coordination, minutes, decision and action logs, dependency tracking and escalation of overdue items

- Act as secretariat for the Finance Management Meeting held ahead of Board meetings. Responsibilities include coordinating agenda items, gathering and quality-checking papers, managing pre-reads, recording key decisions and actions, maintaining an action tracker and following up with owners ahead of subsequent meetings

- Maintain accurate, accessible and version-controlled governance artefacts, including terms of reference, meeting calendars, agendas, minutes, decision logs, action trackers and supporting papers

- Identify opportunities to simplify governance and People & Culture processes, reduce duplication, improve transparency and enhance the experience of colleagues and stakeholders

You´ll likely have the following qualifications to succeed in this role:

- Degree, or equivalent experience, in Business, Finance, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Operations, Communications or a related discipline

- Experience producing management information, governance updates, meeting packs and executive communications

- Experience coordinating employee engagement, talent, learning, inclusion or organizational culture initiatives

- Experience supporting senior leadership forums, committees or working groups

- Ability to develop structured agendas, coordinate papers, prepare minutes and maintain decision and action logs

- Experience maintaining governance calendars, terms of reference, meeting records and supporting documentation

- Ability to identify governance gaps, improve processes and introduce consistent ways of working

- Experience supporting Finance leadership teams or governance forums in a financial services organization is a nice to have

- Lean, Six Sigma, project management or governance-related certification is nice to have

The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and several variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.
