Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive, technically-grounded team player to support how Palo Alto Networks engages with influential industry analysts across the cybersecurity landscape. You will join our communications team to help drive our global Analyst Relations (AR) function into a modern engine of market intelligence and strategic influence. Leveraging a solid understanding of the broader Palo Alto Networks platform and portfolio, you will assist in ensuring key analysts grasp our technical innovation and value. In this role, you will act as an operational bridge between our product teams and market research analysts, helping translate complex cybersecurity telemetry and AI technology into clear, compelling technical content and narratives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support outreach and engagement plans for a broad ecosystem of industry analysts, boutique firms, and technical researchers who influence customer buying decisions.
- Gather, synthesize, and distribute analyst insights, research reports, and competitive intelligence to support internal product, marketing, and strategy teams across major product lines.
- Help coordinate and execute proactive AR campaigns that promote Palo Alto Networks' leadership in core and emerging cybersecurity categories.
- Partner with senior communications team members to draft briefing materials, pitch decks, and talking points that position company executives and technical subject matter experts as market leaders.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking company coverage across digital research platforms, AI-driven evaluation tools, and emerging search engines.
- Execute day-to-day project management for key analyst evaluations (e.g., Gartner Magic Quadrants, Forrester Waves, IDC MarketScapes), managing timelines, collecting questionnaire inputs, and coordinating review cycles across cross-functional teams.
- Track and report on core AR metrics—including coverage volume, analyst inquiries, and event follow-ups—to help demonstrate program impact on pipeline and sales acceleration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, product marketing, communications, or technical analyst relations within the Cybersecurity, SaaS, or enterprise software space.
- Foundational technical understanding of cloud environments, enterprise networking, AI, and cybersecurity fundamentals, with the ability to translate complex features into clear business value.
- Strong organizational skills and detail orientation, with a proven track record of managing multi-step deliverables, deadlines, and cross-functional inputs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a team-first, collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior hands-on experience coordinating or assisting with major analyst evaluation processes (Gartner MQs, Forrester Waves).
- Familiarity with research tracking tools and reporting platforms to build analyst coverage reports and measure AR impact.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and high-visibility deliverables.
Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
