MIG Welder:
Location: Aurora, CO 80011
Schedule: M-F, 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Pay: $28-32/hr., Depending on Experience
Job Type: Temporary-to-Hire (Fast-Track to Permanent)

Our machine-manufacturing client is seeking a skilled MIG welder to support their custom fabrication of machine parts. This is an essential position, and the individual should be capable of performing a variety of welding functions, and capable of using MIG Welders, cutting torches, and reading technical drawings.
MIG Welder Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, general arrangement, and sub-component detail drawings. Maintain, repair, rebuild, and fabricate parts when required for all types of industrial equipment. Perform preventive maintenance inspections, diagnose equipment problems, perform necessary repairs, and report findings to supervision. Performs MIG welding, layout, and millwright functions. Full compliance with plant, state and federal safety regulations and general work rules. Use of proper lock-out procedure and personal protective equipment. Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions. Position and clamp workpieces together or assemble them in jig or fixtures. Select torch, torch tip, filler, and flux, according to welding chart specifications or type and thickness of material. Tack assemblies together. Chip off excess weld, slag and spatter. Cleans or de-greases parts. Other duties as assigned.
MIG Welder Requirements: A high school diploma or GED is required; military experience, trade or technical school preferred. Certified welder. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a metal fabrication environment or other equivalent experience. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. Possess a working knowledge of all applicable manufacturers and industry standards (CMAA, HMI, ANSI, and OSHA). Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Requires solid written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical, conceptual and planning skills are required. Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy (Microsoft Office) are required.
