Summary Statement:

The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst is responsible for providing ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support the VP Operational Finance and participating in the preparation of annual operating budgets and monthly reforecasts. This position reports directly to the Manager, Financial Analysis & Development, and is located on-property, spanning across various functional areas. The Analyst is expected to manage their own execution while supporting broader team initiatives. All responsibilities must be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, practices, and procedures.

Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:

- Assist the Financial Planning & Analysis team on all budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing efforts.
- Develops financial plans and reports for organizational leaders.
- Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends.
- Evaluates capital expenditures and depreciation.
- Develops automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
- Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all ad-hoc analyses and reports, metrics, and dashboards.
- Prepare and analyze actual financial results with appropriate comparison to historical performance.
- Contribute to financial management of property by providing insights and recommendations on cash flow, cost identification and allocation, and risk management.
- Use personal device/cellular phone for job related operational tasks, job duties, review of company documents, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.

Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Applications.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents, such as technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, methods of systems analysis, big data analysis principles and design, and project management.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred :

- Working knowledge of Systems, Applications & Products in Data Processing (SAP), Birst or Kronos.
- Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.

Minimum Education and Experience:

- At least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Minimum of one year of financial analysis and/or budgeting experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to obtain the following: Nevada Gaming Registration
