The position is located Fort Collins, CO, working in the Facilities Management Department.

This position does not have formal supervisory authority. Thi s full time, non exempt po sition will be supervised by Derrick Meis.

Unit Statement

Facilities Management, Division of University Operations, and Colorado State University strategic plans. To provide, within the limit of its allocated resources, quality trades maintenance services, including all structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as small construction project management. These services are to create and maintain an aesthetically pleasing and functional environment that meets or exceeds the university’s needs for instruction, research, and outreach. 
 
The Electronic Security Services group exists to provide quality services including but not limited to security, intrusion and panic as well as card access, that contribute to the safety, security, convenience and quality for the benefit of the University community in order to support the goals and objectives of the University, Facilities Management and Trades Maintenance Services.

Position Summary

This position operates, maintains, and manages the automated electronic access system and security and panic alarm systems. Position acts as the agency authority in managing the campus- wide  electronic card access, Bosch security network and CCTV systems, including infrastructure, all associated intrusion and panic alarms. This position regularly makes decisions at the operational level to preserve the integrity and reliability of critical alarm reporting platforms according to policy and code compliance thereby enhancing a safe, secure, and accessible campus environment. A Bosch systems certification will be required within 6 months of hire.

Job Duties

- Intrusion Alarm / Bosch Network Management and Critical Response - Develop, install, and maintain the Bosch Security Network. Maintains current Bosch Network infrastructure including the Bosch RPS Server, Bosch Ready key PRO server, Bosch Receives, CSUPD workstation, and alarm account database with its associated RPS, RKP, 06200 and C*Cure programming software.

- Card Access Management, Installation and Programming - Develops, operates, programs and maintains critical C-Cure 9000 Card Access platform with Administrative Station (software) including security subnet computers, ICU tools, laptop computers and troubleshooting tools.

- Project Management - Assist, advise and contribute on university committees and design teams. Attend committee and design meetings such as Alarms Safety Committee, Video Surveillance Committee, Card Access committee. Contribute within the team for choices of product and brands and decisions for processes which best suit Facilities Management, CSU departments and the University’s needs.

- Support Services - Keep a supply of critical parts for all electronic systems. Order replacement parts using blueprints, trade manuals, and catalogs. Investigate new products for adaptability, reliability, price, and compatibility with existing equipment.

Minimum Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:

Three years of technical experience repairing, performing maintenance, installing, modifying, calibrating, certifying, or fabricating equipment and facilities related to the work assignment. Equipment and facilities may be primarily telecommunications equipment and facilities, media equipment and facilities, precision measuring equipment, or other electronics equipment and facilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

The highly desired candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, abilities, personal characteristics, and experience directly related and critical to this position:

- Three years in general alarms work which included at least 1 years in advanced alarms.

- Advanced alarm experience that includes circuit board configuration, Inovonics programming, and D6600 receiver setup etc.

- Card Access and programming experience

- Demonstrated Written & Verbal communication skills

- Professional customer service

- Advanced knowledge of programming electronic access, security, panic and/or fire alarms.

- Directly related state service experience
