About this role
Under the direct supervision of the designated clinical staff member, provides direct patient care for diverse patient populations. Works with clinic management, administration, faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and other clinical staff to include LVN’s and MA’s and ancillary personnel in providing total patient care, maintaining high standards of care, and recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of life-threatening emergencies. Coordinate and prioritize tasks and protocols established by the department and/or Administration.
Salary range: $38.54-$50.84
- Active California Vocational Nurse (LVN) license with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal certification.
- Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Ability to obtain and document vital signs, administer medications, and process prescription refill requests.
- Knowledge of common and life-threatening medical conditions and the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to symptoms.
- Ability to identify abnormal laboratory results and promptly communicate findings to providers.
- Experience performing clinical skills within scope of practice, including phlebotomy, injections, and CPR.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and safe handling of biohazardous specimens and contaminated instruments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with providers, staff, patients, and other healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, computer navigation, and electronic health record systems.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and compassionately in person and by phone.
