Job Title: Project Architect Job Description This role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of multiple architectural projects from initial design through permitting, construction documentation, and construction administration. The Project Architect serves as the primary day-to-day architectural lead, coordinating with internal leaders and clients while delivering high-quality work across a diverse portfolio that includes commercial, multifamily, healthcare, industrial, institutional, mixed-use, and corporate interior projects. Responsibilities
- Lead project design efforts from schematic design through design development and construction documents.
- Take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously and manage them from concept through completion.
- Develop, produce, and coordinate detailed construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.
- Oversee project execution through permitting and construction administration, ensuring design intent is maintained.
- Support both ground-up (new construction) and renovation projects across a variety of sectors.
- Collaborate closely with Design, Technical, Healthcare, and Operations leadership to align project goals and deliverables.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary internal teams to ensure integrated and cohesive project delivery.
- Participate in client-facing discussions, including design presentations, coordination meetings, and progress updates.
- Contribute to project delivery for healthcare, commercial, industrial, multifamily, institutional, and corporate interior projects.
- Balance and prioritize work across multiple active projects, adapting quickly to different project types and phases.
- Review and refine drawings and documentation to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and constructability.
- Communicate clearly with team members, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve design and technical issues.
Essential Skills
- Bachelors degree in Architecture.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional architectural experience.
- Experience working from schematic design through construction documents.
- Proficiency in Revit.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Experience with renovation and ground-up (new construction) projects.
- Ability to manage projects from concept through completion, including permitting and construction administration.
- Experience working on commercial, multifamily, healthcare, industrial, institutional, or mixed-use projects.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to comfortably move between different project types and priorities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with design development and construction document production across multiple building types.

- Experience in construction administration, including coordination with contractors and review of submittals and RFIs.
- Licensed Architect credential or progress toward licensure.
- Ability to participate in client-facing meetings and represent the architectural team professionally.

Work Environment
- This is an in-office role based in a design studio environment located on a vibrant main street with convenient access to local amenities and dining options.
- The office operates on a standard schedule of 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with stable hours that support work-life balance.
- The firm is mid-sized, with approximately 20 team members, many of whom are long-tenured, fostering a close-knit and collaborative culture.
- Team members work on a wide variety of project types, including healthcare, commercial, industrial, multifamily, institutional, and corporate interiors, providing exposure to diverse building typologies and design challenges.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lindenhurst, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $48.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
