- Read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical floor plans, sections, and elevations to accurately model electrical systems.
- Create precise 3D representations of electrical components, including conduits, cables, and equipment, for use in coordination and clash detection.
- Participate in coordination meetings with other sub-contractor trades to identify and resolve clashes while maintaining budget, constructability, and NEC code requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineer of record and project management staff to resolve design and constructability issues and to explain drawings to production and construction teams.
- Produce shop drawings, cross-sections of underground installations, conduits, cables, and other electrical systems to provide clear instructions for fabrication and installation crews.
- Review and update models and drawings based on field feedback, design changes, and coordination outcomes to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Use Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks to perform model-based coordination, clash detection, and visualization of electrical systems.
- Support pre-construction and CAD teams by providing accurate models, drawings, and documentation for project planning and execution.
- Travel to various project sites in the Chicagoland area as required to support coordination, field verification, and project meetings.
- Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs in all aspects of design and coordination work.

- Professional-level Revit experience, specifically applied to electrical systems and construction projects.
- Working knowledge of NEC code considerations as they relate to constructability and coordination.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in modeling and documentation.
- Ability to travel to project sites within the Chicagoland area as required.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Electrical knowledge is highly preferred, including familiarity with electrical systems, conduits, cables, and related components.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, or other model viewing and collaboration software is preferred.
- Experience working in a BIM team environment within commercial, light industrial, data center, hospital, or high-rise projects.
- Exposure to design-build and build-only project delivery methods in electrical construction.
- Familiarity with prefabrication workflows and how BIM supports fabrication and installation.
