About this role

Tesla is seeking an experienced Sr. Training Specialist to support Onboarding and Leadership Development at the massive 100 GW solar manufacturing project. This role is core to the Learning & Organizational Development department.

As this is a launch role, you will play a key part in supporting the training execution efforts during facility ramp-up. You will be responsible for organizing training materials, coordinating and facilitating Onboarding and Leadership training for new hire employees and supervisors. You will need to be knowledgeable and have experience in a production environment. This will be a hands-on role to transition new employees and supervisors into a manufacturing factory environment. The ideal candidate will be agile given a start-up environment. Confident with their facilitation ability and can communicate with different levels of the organization (front line associate, technician, managers, engineering, etc.) to achieve training targets and goals. This job is not for everyone; you must have a genuine passion for facilitating world-class learning solutions.

- Work collaboratively with the Tesla onboarding team to ensure a smooth transition into training including scheduling,logistics, and communication
- Able to track new hires witha high levelof detail, manage certifications / station assignments, and lead a group of workstation trainers per respective shop
- Facilitate and coordinate Onboarding and Leadership training programs
- Maintain training PowerPoint and corresponding training materials
- Consult with subject matter experts to ensure training materials are current and relevant to defined target audience
- Create a compelling and engaging learning experience using a variety of teaching methods
- Measure training programs and impact, then apply lessons learned for improvement

- Degree in Education, Business Management or related field or equivalent experience in program facilitation and people management
- 3 - 5 years of work experience deploying educational content, continuous learning programs, and/or employee development programs
- Strong organizational skills to scope, coordinate, launch, and analyze the effectiveness of learning content and the ability to self-train on new products, procedures, and technologies
- Experience classroom facilitation and applying adult learning theories or technical training methodologies
- The ability to partner with leadership and HR on workforce planning, including hiring pipeline support, onboarding, training programs and attrition analysis
- Capable of inspiring trust and confidence through effective communication and interpersonal skills with partners and employees at all levels of the company
- Must be able to relocate and travel 30% within the United States
