About this role

Job Title: Senior Project Specialist Job Description The Senior Project Specialist is responsible for implementing standards for new model launches throughout the entire launch process. This role involves collaboration with Corporate Planning, Production Management, Vehicle Process Engineering, and Product Engineering Leadership on all matters related to Project Launch activities. Responsibilities

- Lead a cross-functional team to successfully launch a new vehicle on time and within budget.
- Create and track resource plans, work breakdown structures (WBS), and master plans.
- Establish project funding and track status against the budget.
- Lead steering committee meetings and escalate issues accordingly.
- Develop pilot schedules and track plan versus actual with daily pilot meetings and reports.
- Manage global KPIs, KAIs, and GVD, and escalate risks.
- Prepare for and execute IH reviews.
- Coordinate and lead workshops to resolve major issues.
- Lead issue resolution meetings with stakeholders and escalate priority concerns.
- Collaborate closely with team leads, quality, and engineering to ensure objectives are met at station and plant levels.
- Build relationships with engineering and manufacturing to comprehend new product requirements and the sequence of build.
- Develop and improve work methods.
- Work with functional managers and operation managers to improve productivity, quality, and output.

Essential Skills

- Automotive industry knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in a technical field.
- Minimum of 8 years of automotive experience.
- At least three years of program management experience.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work as part of a team and interface with all levels of management and labor.
- Highly motivated self-starter and change agent.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% to support multiple locations.

Work Environment This position requires onsite presence daily, with most time spent in the office. Occasional travel to other site locations is necessary.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Toledo, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58.62 - $58.62/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
