Application Specialist II - WEST OF THE ROCKIES

DigitalOptometrics is an optometric telemedicine company focused on performing comprehensive remote eye examinations. We are a rapidly growing technology company expanding throughout the United States and Canada. Tele-Optometry by DigitalOptometrics utilizes new advancements in technology making comprehensive eye exams convenient to patients.

The Application Specialist II independently coordinates and performs the installation, configuration, integration, and testing of tele-optometry and medical technology systems throughout the United States, US Territories and Canada. This position performs structured cabling and low-voltage work, configures connected devices and network components, troubleshoots technical issues, and manages the onsite client experience throughout an installation. This position requires extensive travel and frequent overnight stays.

What you'll do:

Low Voltage & Structured Cabling

- Install, terminate, label, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, HDMI, and related low-voltage components.

- Read and interpret technical drawings, installation plans, layouts, and cable-routing diagrams.

- Install low-voltage boxes, wall plates, patch panels, junction boxes, and related hardware using appropriate methods and materials.

- Use tone sets, cable testers, volt/ohm meters, and related testing equipment to validate connectivity and installation quality.

- Independently troubleshoot common connectivity, cabling, and communication issues within WAN/LAN environments.

Equipment Installation & Systems Integration•

- Install, configure, and test PCs, tablets, peripherals, webcams, unmanaged switches, interface adapters, and related technology systems.

- Assemble, disassemble, relocate, and configure medical equipment stands, cabinets, monitor mounts, equipment arms, chairs, and ancillary hardware.

- Mount TVs, monitors, mirrors, charts, and related equipment to sheetrock, concrete, brick, and other approved surfaces.

- Configure and troubleshoot device communication using USB, Serial, Ethernet, Bluetooth, HDMI, VGA, DisplayPort, and related interfaces.

- Perform system testing, backups, and validation of integrated equipment and network connectivity before installation closeout.

What you'll bring:

- Two to four years of experience in low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, field service, systems integration, technology implementation, or a related field.

- Demonstrated experience independently installing and configuring technology hardware, peripherals, and network-connected devices.

- Experience using network-testing tools and troubleshooting common hardware, cabling, and connectivity issues.

- Experience in medical offices, healthcare environments, or customer-facing technical field service preferred.

Compensation is dependent on experience, plus benefits.
