About the Role:
As the Clinical Manager of Medical Specialties at Quincy Medical Group, you will provide operational leadership for multiple specialty departments, including Allergy, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, and Nephrology. Working in partnership with physician leaders and administrative leadership, you will foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
This role is ideal for a healthcare leader who enjoys developing teams, improving workflows, and leading operations across a diverse group of medical specialties. You will oversee daily operations, support staff and provider engagement, monitor performance, and implement process improvements that enhance both the patient and employee experience.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position, Monday-Friday, daytime hours.
- Schedule flexibility may be required based on operational needs.
- Based in Quincy, IL. Occasional travel between QMG locations may be required.
- Fast-paced leadership role supporting multiple specialty departments and care teams.
- Collaborative environment working closely with physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide operational leadership for Allergy, Cardiology, Dermatology, Endocrinology, Infectious Disease, Neurology, Pulmonology, Rheumatology, and Nephrology.
- Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and staff while fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with physician leaders to support efficient clinic operations, exceptional patient experiences, and high-quality care delivery.
- Monitor key operational and financial performance indicators and implement strategies to improve access, productivity, quality, and patient satisfaction.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, and professional development initiatives.
- Oversee staffing plans, scheduling strategies, and resource allocation to meet patient demand and operational goals.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, standardize processes, and enhance operational efficiency across specialty departments.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and patient safety initiatives.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.
- Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenses, and support responsible resource utilization.
- Lead change management efforts and facilitate communication across departments during operational initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Medical Specialty operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, nursing, or a related field required.
- Previous healthcare leadership experience with responsibility for multiple departments or clinic operations required.
- Experience leading specialty, ambulatory, or multispecialty medical practice operations preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading teams, improving operational performance, and managing change.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with budgeting, staffing, productivity management, and performance improvement.
- Ability to analyze operational data and develop action plans to achieve organizational goals.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $69,680 - $104,520 annually , with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus . Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
