General Description/Primary Purpose:
The Department of Health Administration is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure-earning, Visiting Instructor of Health Informatics. This entry-level faculty position will support development, expansion, and teaching in the UNF Health Informatics Program. Position responsibilities include teaching in areas of expertise and participating in department, college, and university committees as requested.
Supervisor : This position will report to the Department Chair.
Working Hours: Varies
Supervision Exercised: This is not a supervisory role.
Required Licensure: N/A
Required Qualifications: Master's degree in Health, Nursing, or Biomedical Informatics; Information Technology; Computer Science; or other technical field.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills: Ph.D. in Health, Nursing, or Biomedical Informatics; Information Technology; or Computer Science. Experience teaching at the college/university level or industry experience. Teaching expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Database Management, System Architecture, Data Analytics, AI, Machine Learning.
Anticipated Start Date: This appointment is for the Spring and Summer terms of the 2026-2027 academic year, with an anticipated start date of December 16, 2026, and end date of July 30, 2027. This appointment can be reinstated annually for up to 3 years. Although the position is classified as a 12-month faculty appointment , the faculty member will serve only during a portion of the appointment period. Therefore, the full 12-month annual salary will be prorated based on the appointment start and end dates.
