The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager - Major Projects to join our Energy & Utilities Finance team.
Working within a large-scale transmission infrastructure program, you'll act as a trusted business partner to Project Directors and senior project leaders, providing strategic financial leadership across forecasting, reporting, governance, accounting, cash flow management and commercial decision-making.
In this highly visible role, you'll help shape project outcomes by providing clear financial insights, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Your ability to influence stakeholders and translate complex financial information into meaningful business recommendations will be critical to project success.

What You'll Do
- Partner with Project Directors and senior leadership teams to drive financial performance and support key business decisions.
- Lead project forecasting across cost, revenue, margin and cash flow, ensuring accuracy and alignment with delivery outcomes.
- Oversee financial governance, reporting and accounting compliance within a complex major project environment.
- Drive working capital performance, cash optimisation and proactive management of project risks and opportunities.
- Provide financial analysis, commercial insights and strategic recommendations to support project and business objectives.
- Support project teams with financial expertise, performance reporting and governance frameworks that enable successful project delivery.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in complex project environments and can confidently influence senior stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information to executive audience providing meaningful insight and understanding through formal and informal comms
- Motivated, driven and able to understand desired business outcomes and overcome challenges to achieve results
- Understanding of relevant technical accounting rules to deliver appropriate reporting positions that stand up to scrutiny
- Experience in cost control such that you can drill into detail where required and provide meaningful challenge and input to forecast position
- Extensive experience in project finance, project accounting or commercial finance within large, complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience supporting major infrastructure, construction or EPC projects valued at $500 million or more.
- Strong understanding of long-term contract accounting, financial forecasting, governance frameworks and working capital management.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and provide strategic financial insights across complex stakeholder environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information into meaningful business outcomes.
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
