Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Buyer / Expeditor to join our Supply Chain team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, expediting materials and equipment, and ensuring on-time delivery to meet project requirements. This individual will bring strong vendor management, negotiation, and organizational skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced EPCM environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the procurement process for assigned projects, including preparing RFQs, evaluating bids, and issuing purchase orders.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality and schedule.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and discipline leads to align material and equipment requirements with project deliverables.
- Expedite vendor documentation, equipment, and materials to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project schedules.
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve delays, quality concerns, or commercial issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, tracking purchase orders, shipping documents, and delivery schedules.
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring alignment with Equinox standards and project needs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain group.
- Mentor junior buyers/expeditors as required.

Education and Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- 12+ years of procurement and expediting experience, preferably in an EPCM or oil & gas environment.
- SCMP designation or equivalent certification considered an asset.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency with procurement software and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of international trade, logistics, and customs documentation an asset.
