Chelmondiston Church of England Primary School are seeking an Administration Assistant to join our friendly and successful school. Chelmondiston is just 10 minutes from Ipswich.

We are part of the St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich Diocesan Multi Academy Trust, which provides our staff with access to a wealth of support, professional development and networking opportunities with other schools in the trust.

You will provide effective and efficient administrative support across the school, undertaking a wide range of general office duties. The role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of service, building positive relationships and communicating effectively with colleagues, pupils, parents and carers as well as external agencies and businesses.

We ask that you have:

- a commitment to the safeguarding and the wellbeing of children
- good IT, literacy and numeracy skills, including a knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and office experience
- strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- the ability to work accurately with good attention to detail, while also managing tasks independently
- flexibility, able to use initiative and willing to support the varied needs of a busy school office
- good communication skills both verbally and in writing
- an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
- an ability to work as part of a team and have a positive attitude.
