We're looking for a dependable, safety-focused Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in producing accurate results, and wants to grow within a respected engineering and consulting environment. What You'll Do

- Perform field testing and inspection of soils, concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Collect and document accurate test data while maintaining attention to detail.
- Operate testing equipment, including nuclear density gauges and other industry-standard tools.
- Communicate findings and observations to project managers, inspectors, contractors, and clients.
- Ensure all testing activities are completed in accordance with project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards.
- Travel to active construction sites throughout the region to support a variety of projects.
- Work alongside experienced technicians and engineers while receiving ongoing training and mentorship.

Preferred Experience

- Construction Materials Testing (CMT) experience.
- Soil, concrete, asphalt, or aggregate testing experience.
- Experience operating nuclear density gauges.
- Construction inspection, geotechnical, or quality control experience.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans, specifications, and testing procedures.

Certifications Preferred but Not Required

- ACI Certification
- NICET Certification
- Nuclear Gauge Safety Certification
- Additional construction testing or inspection certifications

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Raleigh, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
