About this role

Being part of HSBC in the Luxembourg & French Market branch (Paris) , you’ll help evolve and grow our Private Banking business.

Do you bring capital markets expertise across discretionary portfolio solutions, alternatives, structured products, fixed income, FX and equities ? What you will do:

Act as the technical product expert for Discretionary Solutions, connecting HSBC Asset Management portfolio managers , Private Banking teams and clients. You’ll support mandate acquisition and retention through clear portfolio insights, strong client materials and disciplined delivery—driving AUM growth and annuity fee revenues .

In this role you will:

- Serve as the primary interface between HSBC AM portfolio managers and Private Banking Relationship Managers and Investment Counsellors.
- Build deep knowledge of the investment process by attending investment meetings and understanding portfolio positioning and decisions.
- Increase adoption of Discretionary Solutions across the client book, supporting prospecting and new mandate wins.
- Provide timely analysis on portfolio positioning and performance for client and front office queries.
- Create high-quality client and marketing materials, including a monthly discretionary update and ad hoc market commentary.
- Track and coordinate product initiatives and pitches; maintain visibility on AUM split by product/region/team to identify under-penetrated areas.

You should apply if you have:

- Proven expertise in discretionary solutions (Product Specialist and/or Portfolio Manager background).
- Strong knowledge of multi-asset portfolios and major asset classes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a client-ready, risk-aware mindset.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to prioritise under time pressure.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel/PowerPoint; VBA a plus); Aladdin/Avaloq/Qlik Sense knowledge is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and French ; CFA/CAIA/CIIA (or equivalent) is an advantage.
