HR Administrative Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $19-$23/hour, Based on Experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, anticipated start time between 6:00–7:00 AM

Job Summary

We are seeking an organized and dependable HR Administrative Assistant to support day-to-day Human Resources operations in a manufacturing environment. This position will provide administrative support, maintain employee records, assist with scheduling and onboarding activities, and serve as a point of contact for employees and visitors.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to handle confidential information, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources department
- Answer incoming calls and respond to outside calls as needed
- Monitor morning and evening employee call-offs
- Provide HR front desk and front counter coverage
- Manage employee badges and locker assignments
- Maintain employee personnel, termination, and health files in both paper and electronic formats
- Schedule interviews and assist with interview coordination
- Assist with new hire and onboarding-related activities
- Maintain and update HR forms and documentation
- Process and maintain HR-related invoices
- Update HR budgets and records
- Assist with employee meetings and company communications
- Maintain employee birthday, anniversary, and seniority postings
- Assist with payroll-related and employee point reports
- Maintain documentation to support company compliance requirements
- Assist with quarterly audits and other HR compliance activities
- Support company parking pass administration
- Assist with administration of company fleet vehicles and vehicle maintenance records
- Interpret and communicate company policies and information to employees
- Assist with various HR projects as assigned

Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative position preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling employee information
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with basic computer and administrative functions
