Platform Engineer, Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer, Specialist to help design, implement, and support the technology platforms that enable critical business capabilities. In this role, you will bring deep technical expertise to complex projects and production environments, solving challenging issues that span multiple technology domains. You will also play an important role in improving platform performance and reliability, establishing technical standards, evaluating new technologies, and mentoring other members of the team.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining hands-on problem solving with technical leadership and partnering with the business to deliver effective, scalable technology solutions.

Core Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and deploy technology platforms that support evolving business needs, identifying opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and overall platform effectiveness.
- Provide advanced technical support for complex production environments , diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues across multiple platforms and technology domains.
- Develop and maintain technical standards, best practices, and documentation to support consistent and reliable platform operations.
- Evaluate technologies and vendor solutions, providing informed recommendations on new technologies, products, and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage the promotion of code across development, test, and production environments, including change control documentation and post-production support.
- Build a strong understanding of business functions and requirements , working with stakeholders to identify the most appropriate technical solutions for their needs.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to more junior team members, providing guidance on processes, releases, troubleshooting, and complex technical issues.
- Support system administration and systems analysis activities, including requirements analysis, technical design, and logical and physical system design.
- Contribute technical content to project deliverables and maintain clear, accurate documentation for the team.
- Participate in special projects and other initiatives that support the continued evolution of the technology environment.

Qualifications

- Minimum of five years of related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
