Manager, Affiliate Finance
About This Role:
As Manager, Affiliate Finance you will become an integral part of the CHAT Cluster finance organization, reporting directly to the Head of Finance for Switzerland and Austria. This role requires you to lead day-to-day accounting operations in collaboration with Finance Shared Services based in Warsaw. You will offer critical support to the Finance Director by consolidating and analyzing financial data to aid in strategic decision-making. You will be responsible for steering external expense budgets and providing comprehensive reporting, forecasting, and analysis compared to the budget. Additionally, you will oversee all local logistics processes, acting as the main contact for our external logistics partner. Your efforts will ensure seamless financial operations, contributing significantly to the organization's financial health and growth.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead local accounting activities related to monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes in collaboration with Finance Shared Services.
- Prepare month-end sales entries, accruals, and reclassification entries.
- Coordinate the monthly closing with the Corporate Controller to explain variances versus AOP/Forecast.
- Assist the Finance Director in all aspects of financial planning and analysis, including the development and submission of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
- Own the process of external expense coordination with departments for forecasts and AOP planning.
- Develop and update monthly dashboards with financial KPIs including Revenue, Expenses, and Entity P&L
- Take an active role in external and internal financial audits, ensuring compliance with SOX requirements.
- Lead supply chain operations through the external logistics provider, addressing finance-related inquiries.
- Prepare and distribute standardized financial reporting packages for departments, analyzing actual versus budget/forecast performance.

Required Skills:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Proven experience in providing analytics to support commercial operations.
- Expert knowledge of accounting and financial concepts and principles.
- Strong systems knowledge, particularly with Hyperion/Essbase/Oracle.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint.
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial and ethical approach.
- Team player with good oral and written communication skills in German and English.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
- Knowledge of additional European languages.
