About this role

Job ID: 41922 | Location: The Woodlands, Texas, USA | Work Model: Onsite

As Senior Procurement Manager – Site & Maintenance , you will drive end-to-end sourcing strategies across key indirect categories — including facilities management, MRO, utilities, energy, and fluids — ensuring Clariant's production sites and offices operate at peak efficiency. Working at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will deliver measurable P&L impact through savings initiatives, supplier development, and value transformation projects, while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders and global procurement teams. This is a high-visibility role that offers the autonomy to shape category strategy, challenge the status quo, and elevate procurement as a true business partner — making it an ideal opportunity for an ambitious, agile procurement professional looking to make a tangible impact at a leading global specialty chemicals company.

Responsibilities

- Define and regularly review category strategies for Site & Maintenance (facilities management, MRO, utilities, energy, and fluids) in alignment with the regional Head of Indirect Spend, leveraging procurement analytics tools, commodity forecasts, and market intelligence

- Implement site & maintenance sourcing best practices using a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) approach to drive efficiency and cost optimization

- Deliver business objectives against clear financial and non-financial KPIs, ensuring measurable P&L impact across the organization

- Manage and optimize the existing supplier base while proactively identifying, developing, and onboarding new suppliers to challenge and improve current performance

- Drive supplier base simplification and tail spend management to reduce complexity and increase procurement efficiency

- Lead value transformation projects in close coordination with regional and global stakeholders, from ideation through to execution

- Build and manage strong relationships with strategic suppliers and key stakeholders across all business units and locations

- Actively participate in regional and global performance management forums, including the Indirect Spend SteerCo

- Simplify and automate non-value-added procurement activities to free up capacity for higher-impact initiatives

- Execute multiple sourcing initiatives simultaneously with an agile mindset, sense of urgency, and a results-driven approach

- Elevate the value perception of procurement within each business unit by consistently delivering tangible, quantifiable outcomes
