As the Applications Engineering Mgr - L5 you will be responsible for leading the compilation and analysis of product capability information, directing technical investigations, and shaping solutions that meet customer needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Lead the compilation and analysis of product capability information.
* Direct technical investigations of company products and competing equipment.
* Analyze customer problems and collaborate on system designs that satisfy requirements.
* Oversee recruitment, training, performance assessments, and employee development.
* Manage work assignments, compensation decisions, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Manages the compilation of information on the capabilities of company products; directs the investigation of the technical capabilities of company products and competing equipment, the analyses of customer problems, and collaboration in designing systems to satisfy customer needs. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a STEM or related technical field of study
* 8+ years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment
* 5+ years of experience developing and deploying manufacturing technology solutions
* Demonstrated experience as a technical leader, coordinating across multiple teams and projects
* Demonstrated ability to communicate successfully across all levels of an organization from entry level to executive Vice Presidents

Desired Skills

* Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and associated materials & processes.
* Advanced project management experience.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and consulting skills
* Strong ability to influence executive leadership and technical teams
* Extensive knowledge of the project lifecycle and technology maturation processes
* Direct experience with each facet of technology system development from early maturation to full deployment and sustainment
* Experience formulating strategy and roadmaps to support funding capture
* Deep understanding of commonly used funding types (IRAD, NBF, CRAD, etc.) and appropriate applicability
* Demonstrated ability to assess risk and perform root cause corrective action
* Experience across a wide array of technology focus areas including metrology, automation, robotics, machining, fabrication and assembly
* Proven ability to identify, recommend, and drive increases in organizational execution efficiency
* Deep knowledge and use of analytical approaches or methodologies to solve technical challenges
* Strong project management skillset

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00

* For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
