Researches, designs, develops and verifies signal and image collection systems, and defines and develops processing and dissemination computer algorithms. Develops requirements analysis, sub-system architectures, and integrates new signal and image processing technology systems. Designs, develops and analyzes systems and algorithms for the extraction of information from signal and image sensors. Technologies applied include: remote sensing; detection and estimation theories; morphological processing; speech processing; neural networks; electromagnetic and acoustic effects on signals; and implementation of signal processing with advanced computer architectures.
Basic Qualifications
We are seeking an emerging Signal and Image Processing (S/IP) Engineer who will join a highly skilled team of systems engineering technologists and algorithm developers supporting various contracts and IRADs within Missiles and Fire Control.
Basic Qualifications
* BS in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar STEM degree.
* Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires specail access.
* Should be proficient in one or more of the following languages:
* MATLAB, python, C++
* Should demonstrate the ability to perform one or more of the following Image Processing (IP) assignments based on completed course work or professional experience:
* Develop and analyze algorithms such as match filtering, SNR analysis, and image enhancement algorithms
* Should demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of:
* linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and convolution
In addition, the typical Assc. IP Engineer tasks may include:
* Test and verify embedded algorithms that support unresolved (point-source) and resolved target detection and tracking for missile and fire control products.
* Validate and test complex models and simulations that utilize match filters, convolutional neural networks, and other such techniques to detect targets of interest.
* Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements
* Perform test activities that support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware-In-The-Loop (HWIL) activities
* Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers
Desired Skills
* Active Secret Clearance
* Have experience in validating C++ algorithm simulations and hardware models with real-time data collections
* Have been exposed to implementing and debugging IP algorithms running in a real-time processing environments
* Ability to perform preflight system performance assessment and post flight verification analyses
* Familiarity with AI/ML topologies as they relate to target detection
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $67000.00 - $124400.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
