Job Description

Team Leadership:

Hire, train, and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers and technicians, providing technical guidance and resolving issues.

Process Optimization:

Oversee the implementation and optimization of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards.

New Product Introduction:

Lead the manufacturing engineering aspects of new product development, ensuring smooth transitions from design to production.

Cost Reduction:

Develop and implement strategies to reduce production costs and improve operational efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure product and process quality meets established standards and collaborate with quality control teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments, such as production, supply chain, and quality assurance, to streamline operations and resolve bottlenecks.

Budget Management:

Establish and manage budgets for manufacturing engineering projects and activities.

Process Improvement:

Lead lean and process improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Several years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.

Proven leadership and management skills, including experience in hiring, training, and mentoring a team.

Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing principles, including process optimization, cost reduction, and quality control.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of EHS regulations: Knowledge of relevant local, state, and federal regulations is crucial.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: EHS Managers need to effectively communicate with employees, management, and external stakeholders.

RMA:

An RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) Manager oversees the process of handling returned products, ensuring efficient processing of returns, repairs, replacements, or refunds while adhering to company policies and maintaining positive customer relations. They are responsible for managing the entire RMA lifecycle, from receiving returns to final disposition.

Managing the RMA Process: Overseeing the entire RMA process, including receiving, inspecting, tracking, and processing returns.

Inventory Management: Managing inventory of returned items and ensuring proper disposition.

Data Analysis: Analyzing RMA data to identify trends, improve processes, and reduce return rates.

Team Leadership: Potentially leading and supervising a team of RMA specialists or coordinators.

Problem Solving: Addressing and resolving complex issues related to returns and customer concerns.

Strong Communication Skills: Effective communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to returns and customer inquiries.

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.

Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy in processing returns and tracking inventory.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with relevant software, such as ERP systems, and data analysis tools.

NPI:

An NPI (New Product Introduction) Manager is responsible for leading the process of bringing new products to market, from initial concept to mass production. They manage cross-functional teams, coordinate activities, and ensure that new products are introduced successfully, meeting quality, cost, and time objectives.

Project Planning and Execution:

They develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for new product introductions.

Operational Readiness:

They ensure that all operational aspects, such as manufacturing processes, supply chain, and quality control, are prepared for the new product.

Ensure Product Quality:

They establish and enforce quality standards throughout the NPI process, ensuring that the final product meets the required specifications.

Transition to Production:

NPI Managers oversee the transition from development to mass production, ensuring a smooth and efficient handover.

Skills and Experience:

Strong project management skills with experience in leading complex projects.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

Ability to think strategically and solve problems under pressure.

Experience with NPI methodologies and best practices.

Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and quality control.

Experience in the relevant industry (e.g., electronics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices) is often required, according to some job descriptions.

QM :

A Quality Manager ensures that products or services meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. They develop and implement quality control systems, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This involves overseeing quality control processes, conducting inspections, analyzing data, and collaborating with various teams to resolve issues and enhance product quality.

This includes creating and updating procedures, policies, and standards for quality assurance and control.

Monitoring and analyzing data:

Quality Managers track key performance indicators (KPIs), identify trends, and analyze data to pinpoint areas for improvement.

Regularly inspecting products, processes, and facilities to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.

Collaborating with cross-functional teams:

Working with departments like production, engineering, and customer service to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.

Managing quality control personnel:

Leading and mentoring teams of quality control staff, providing guidance, training, and support.

Ensuring compliance with regulations:

Keeping up to date with industry standards, legal requirements, and customer expectations.

Driving continuous improvement:

Identifying opportunities to enhance product quality, improve processes, and reduce defects.

Handling customer feedback and complaints:

Investigating and resolving customer quality-related issues.

Salary Range:
$113,600.00-$151,400.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
