🍽️ ABOUT THE POSITION
The Lead Cook is an important part of the daily food service operation. You will assist with meal preparation while helping lead and maintain an organized, safe, and productive kitchen.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading, directing, and assisting inmates within the kitchen
- Preparing, baking, and cooking meals
- Following company recipes and established procedures
- Helping ensure meals are prepared correctly and on time
- Maintaining kitchen organization and cleanliness
- Assisting with sanitation and kitchen clean-up
- Working effectively as part of a team
- Maintaining a professional attitude in a structured correctional environment

We're looking for someone who:
- Is dependable and motivated
- Has a positive, professional attitude
- Demonstrates strong character and leadership ability
- Can work successfully in a structured correctional environment
- Can read and follow company recipes
- Is comfortable assisting with cooking, baking, food preparation, and clean-up
- Can lift up to 50 pounds
- Is comfortable leading and assisting others in the kitchen

📋 REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work weekends and holidays
- Flexibility to work varying days and hours
- Typical schedule of approximately 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Ability to obtain the required facility clearance and approval
Kitchen or food service experience is a plus, but not required.
