🍴 YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Lead Cook , you will play an important role in the daily operation of the facility kitchen. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading, directing, and assisting inmates within the kitchen
- Providing direction and instruction during meal preparation
- Assisting with food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up
- Preparing meals according to company recipes and procedures
- Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen
- Supporting daily kitchen operations and meal service
- Working professionally within a structured correctional environment
- Performing physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds

👤 THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A dependable and positive attitude
- The ability to work successfully in a structured correctional environment
- The ability to read and follow company recipes
- The ability to lead, instruct, and assist with kitchen duties
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- A professional approach to working with staff and inmates

📅 SCHEDULE & REQUIREMENTS
Position: Temporary Full-Time
Typical Hours: Approximately 8:30 AM - 6:30 PM
Candidates must:
- Be available to work weekends and holidays
- Be flexible to work varying days and hours
- Successfully obtain the required facility clearance and approval
- Be comfortable working in a structured correctional setting
Previous food service or kitchen experience is preferred, but not required. Don't let lack of experience keep you from applying - Tigg's Canteen Services is willing to train the right person!
