WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THIS POSITION

The Adjunct Faculty Member reports to the Law School's Associate Dean for Faculty & Curriculum. Some of the responsibilities of this role are:

- Co-teach AI-Enabled Legal Practice , a hands-on course exploring the practical use of artificial intelligence in modern legal practice, including AI-assisted research and drafting, document analysis, knowledge systems, AI agents, and workflow automation.
- Help students understand how to evaluate and responsibly deploy AI tools, with particular attention to accuracy, confidentiality, security, professional responsibility, human oversight, and practical business considerations.
- Guide students through hands-on exercises and a capstone project involving the design and evaluation of an AI-enabled legal workflow or service.
- Provide reasonable availability outside of class to address student questions.
- The adjunct faculty member will not be expected to attend department meetings.
- Class time will be determined based on the applicant's schedule and Law School needs.

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU FOR THIS ROLE?

Required Degree: Master’s degree or higher in a related field. A JD is preferred but not required . Required degree must be completed by the start date.

Experience: The successful applicant should have significant professional experience with artificial intelligence, technology, legal practice, or a related field and demonstrated expertise relevant to the practical adoption and use of AI.

Preferred experience includes:

- Practical experience with generative AI, AI-enabled workflows, agents, automation, or related technologies
- Experience implementing or advising on AI adoption in professional or enterprise settings
- Experience teaching, training, or explaining technical concepts to professional audiences
- Familiarity with the legal, ethical, confidentiality, security, and organizational considerations surrounding AI use
- Legal practice, legal technology, or experience working with lawyers or other professional-service organizations
