Shipping & Receiving Specialist
Pay Rate: $17.00 - $20.00 / hour (DFW Mid-Market Rate)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: PrideStaff is partnering with a premier utility equipment and tool distributor in the Burleson, TX area to recruit a dependable Shipping & Receiving Specialist. In this fast-paced position, you will play a vital role in receiving, staging, and dispatching critical equipment and tools required for field crews. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the shipping counter by reviewing, pulling, and confirming customer orders received via email in a professional and timely manner.
Safely load and unload trucks and trailers using forklifts, manlifts, pallet jacks, and dollies.
Process order paperwork accurately to ensure all products are properly staged, labeled, and placed in designated warehouse bin locations.
Verify item descriptions and quantities on inbound and outbound shipments, noting any discrepancies or order revisions.
Prepare customer orders for pickup or shipment via UPS, FedEx, freight, or truckload carrier services.
Utilize spreadsheets and ERP systems to confirm physical inventory counts, item locations, and transaction histories.
Perform routine inspections on material handling equipment and proactively assist in resolving shipping and receiving issues.
Qualifications & Special Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED; or 1 to 3 years of related warehouse shipping and receiving experience/training.
Experience working with major shipping carriers, specifically UPS and FedEx.
Forklift certification preferred, with experience operating material handling equipment like forklifts, manlifts, and pallet jacks.
Demonstrated experience working with ERP inventory systems, spreadsheets, invoices, and purchase orders.
High attention to detail with a customer-focused mindset and sense of urgency.
Ability to work in extreme weather elements (indoor and outdoor settings ranging from below 32°F to above 100°F).
Strict adherence to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and workplace safety standards.
Physical capability to perform heavy work, including frequently moving 20–50 lbs, occasionally lifting up to 100 lbs, and standing or walking for extended periods.
