Job Title: AP Specialist Job Description
Join a dynamic team as an AP Specialist where you will play a key role in processing and managing vendor invoices. You will be part of a team of approximately 20 professionals dedicated to maintaining efficient accounts payable operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a large manufacturing company in the Houston area.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process between 500 - 700 invoices per week from a shared email inbox, with some paper invoices.
- Upload invoices into a scanning/document validation software to automate the AP process.
- Conduct a 3-way match for approximately 60% of invoices using automated systems.
- Manually update and enter data to resolve any discrepancies related to inventory, PO numbers, totals, or items not received.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of AP experience, specifically in processing and entering invoices.
- Proficiency in handling both PO and Non PO invoices.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Strong skills in accounts payable, invoice processing, and accounting.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP functions.
- Experience in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Work Environment
This position offers a flexible work environment where candidates will work remotely for three weeks each month and be in the office for the last week. Attendance is required in the office for trainings or meetings if scheduled during the remote period.

This is a Contract position based out of Waller, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
