About this role
Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Let's face it. Wastewater and stormwater probably aren't something most people think about.
Until something goes wrong.
That's where you come in.
As a Water Serviceperson, you'll be one of the first people on the scene when Auckland's wastewater and stormwater networks need attention. Whether it's investigating an odour complaint, responding to an overflow, locating a fault or carrying out maintenance, you'll play a hands-on role in keeping essential services running for local communities.
This isn't a job where you'll spend your day sitting in an office watching the clock. You'll be out in the field solving problems, working with a supportive crew and tackling a mix of planned and reactive work. Some days you'll be investigating network issues, other days you'll be responding to urgent callouts or helping restore services after faults.
It's the kind of role that suits people who enjoy being active, thinking on their feet and taking pride in work that genuinely makes a difference. You'll be given the tools, support and training needed to build your capability while working alongside experienced people who know the industry inside out.
If you enjoy variety, practical work and the satisfaction that comes from fixing problems others can't, you'll feel right at home here.
