About the Company
We are a fast-growing AI infrastructure and developer tools company building APIs that turn the web into clean, structured data AI applications and agents can use.
The company has reached significant revenue scale quickly, recently raised a major Series B, and supports a large global developer community. The engineering team remains intentionally small and high-ownership, with engineers responsible for taking products from idea through production rather than working from narrowly defined tickets.
About the Role
We are looking for a Product Engineer to help build the developer-facing products that turn the messy, constantly changing web into reliable data and actions.
This is hands-on product engineering at the core of the platform. You will ship features used by thousands of developers, own them from idea through production, and work on the difficult problems that sit at the intersection of web scraping, browser automation, APIs, reliability, and developer experience.
The web does not behave nicely. JavaScript-heavy applications, anti-bot systems, authentication flows, dynamic content, proxies, long-running browser sessions, and constantly changing sites all create edge cases. Your job is to make that complexity disappear behind an API developers enjoy using.
What Youll Do
- Build and ship developer-facing product features from idea to production
- Improve scraping and browser automation reliability across difficult and constantly changing websites
- Design clean APIs and product surfaces developers can easily build on
- Work on challenges involving JavaScript-heavy sites, browser sessions, authentication, proxies, anti-bot systems, dynamic content, and long-tail scraping failures
- Own the reliability, latency, response quality, and overall developer experience of what you ship
- Work directly with engineers on product direction, architecture, and technical tradeoffs
- Dogfood the product and use developer feedback, GitHub issues, and real-world failures to drive improvements
- Ship quickly, measure the result, and iterate
What Were Looking For
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building and shipping products used by external developers
- Strong experience with APIs, SDKs, developer platforms, open-source developer tooling, or similar infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with web scraping, crawling, browser automation, browser agents, or related web infrastructure
- Experience with technologies such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Chromium, Chrome DevTools Protocol, Selenium, proxies, browser sessions, or similar tooling is highly relevant
- Understanding of the challenges involved in scraping modern websites, including dynamic content, JavaScript rendering, authentication, bot detection, and reliability
- Strong product instincts and genuine attention to developer experience
- Ability to take an ambiguous problem, determine what should be built, and ship it without requiring a fully specified ticket
- Comfortable owning features end-to-end, including design, implementation, deployment, reliability, and iteration
- Bias toward shipping, measuring, and improving rather than over-planning
Particularly Relevant Backgrounds
Engineers who have worked on:
- Scraping or crawling platforms
- Browser automation infrastructure
- Developer APIs or SDKs
- Browser agents and AI web automation
- Headless browser infrastructure
- Anti-bot or stealth-browser systems
- Proxy and session infrastructure
- Data extraction products
- Developer tools or open-source infrastructure
Experience with companies or products in the web-data, browser-automation, developer-infrastructure, or AI-agent ecosystem can be particularly relevant.
What This Role Is Not
This is not a pure backend infrastructure role where product experience is someone elses responsibility.
It is also not a narrow browser-internals role where API design and developer experience are outside your scope.
The right person is comfortable moving between the hard technical problems of the web and the product decisions required to turn that complexity into something developers love using.
Work Authorization
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States or Canada.
The company is not currently able to sponsor U.S. visas. Canadian sponsorship may be considered on a case-by-case basis through the Toronto office.
Interview Process
The process typically includes:
- Introductory conversation
- Technical/product discussion focused on real problems involving scraping, reliability, APIs, and the web
- Founder conversation
- Paid work trial on a scoped production-relevant project
- Final decision
This is an opportunity to join a small, fast-moving engineering team building core infrastructure for AI applications and agents while owning a meaningful piece of a rapidly growing developer product.
