Field Service Technician (Low Voltage / Security Systems)

Direct Hire | Company Vehicle Provided | Regional Travel Are you an experienced field service professional who enjoys troubleshooting, customer interaction, and working independently in the field? We are seeking a Field Service Technician to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of retail loss prevention and security technology systems across a multi-state Northeast and Mid-Atlantic territory. This is an ideal opportunity for technicians with backgrounds in:

- Security systems
- CCTV and camera systems
- Structured cabling
- Alarm systems
- Low-voltage installation
- Retail technology support
- Access control systems
- Field service

What You'll Do

- Install, service, and repair low-voltage security and loss prevention systems
- Troubleshoot cameras, wireless devices, and related equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance and field service work
- Run and terminate low-voltage cabling
- Support larger installation projects throughout the territory
- Communicate directly with store managers and customer contacts
- Document completed work and service activity
- Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned region

What We're Looking For

Required

- Experience installing or servicing low-voltage systems
- Experience with CCTV, cameras, alarm systems, access control, structured cabling, or related technologies
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving experience
- Professional customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to travel extensively throughout the work week
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Preferred

- Retail installation experience
- Security integration experience
- CAT5/CAT6 cabling
- Conduit installation
- Wireless device experience
- Access control systems
- Point-of-sale technology
- Scissor lift experience

Schedule & Travel

- Approximately 70%+ travel
- Overnight travel during the work week
- Flexible schedule based on customer needs
- Daytime service work with occasional overnight installation support
- Home most weekends

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Richmond, VA 23230.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $69000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Comprehensive healthcare benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage; Life/ADD/STD insurance; FSA/HSA options.
