Junior Product Manager – (Graduate Level)

Are you a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a career that combines technical knowledge, business strategy and customer engagement?

We are looking for a motivated Junior Product Manager to join our Metals, Oil & Gas team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Product Management while working alongside experienced Product Managers, suppliers, customers and commercial teams.

You'll gain hands-on experience across product strategy, market analysis, pricing, sourcing, supplier management and business development, building the foundations for a successful career in Product Management.

As part of the Junior Professional Program, you will undertake professional and technical development programs, be mentored by industry professionals and join the IXOM Professional Networking Group to develop your business skill and learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities

- Support the growth and profitability of the Metals, Oil & Gas product portfolio

- Conduct market research and competitor analysis

- Assist with sourcing and supply opportunities

- Support product and marketing development plans

- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders

- Assist with pricing reviews and tender submissions

- Maintain market intelligence and commercial insights

- Work closely with Sales teams to support growth opportunities

- Coordinate product information and stakeholder communications

- Support product stewardship, safety and regulatory compliance activities

- Participate in strategic projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking someone who is curious, analytical and commercially minded, with a genuine interest in building a long-term career in Product Management.

Ideally, You'll Bring

- A degree in Science, Engineering, Business or a related discipline

- Recent graduate status or up to 2 years of professional experience

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities

- A passion for understanding products, markets and customers

- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn

- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
