About the Role
Operating as a trusted partner to the GM Strategy & Execution, this role provides enterprise-wide oversight of strategic priorities, investment decisions, delivery planning, resource allocation and benefits realisation. The role is responsible for translating strategic objectives into actionable transformation plans, ensuring major programs are executed with discipline, and driving investment and capacity decisions that maximise customer, commercial and organisational value.

What will your day look like?
As Head of Retail Transformation Delivery , you will lead the transformation agenda, ensuring strategic priorities are translated into executable plans that deliver meaningful customer, commercial and operational outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the planning, execution and oversight of Retail's strategic transformation agenda, major change programs and business-critical initiatives.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear delivery roadmaps, measurable objectives and integrated business plans.
- Ensure transformation initiatives are aligned to Retail strategy, customer outcomes and enterprise objectives.
- Maintain an integrated view of the Retail change and investment portfolio, providing oversight of priorities, dependencies, risks and delivery outcomes.
- Drive prioritisation and trade-off decisions to ensure investment, resources and capacity are focused on the highest-value opportunities.
- Lead portfolio sequencing and capacity planning to optimise delivery outcomes across short and long-term priorities.
- Oversee the divisional investment portfolio, ensuring strong governance, value realisation, cost discipline and investment transparency.
- Monitor portfolio performance, benefits realisation and funding alignment, identifying risks and recommending interventions where required.
- Lead resource strategy and workforce planning across the transformation portfolio, ensuring critical capabilities are available to support priority initiatives.
- Establish and maintain robust governance, assurance and performance management frameworks to support effective delivery and executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, risk and control requirements across all transformation initiatives.
- Drive organisational readiness and adoption of change, ensuring impacts are understood, managed and embedded successfully.
- Champion continuous improvement, simplification and execution excellence across Retail.
- Deliver concise executive reporting and strategic insights on portfolio health, delivery performance, investment outcomes, resource utilisation and emerging risks.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders across Retail, Strategy, Finance, Technology, Risk and Talent & Culture, influencing outcomes and driving alignment.
- Represent the Retail transformation portfolio in executive and enterprise governance forums.
What will you bring?
Must-have knowledge, skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformation, strategic delivery and business change programs within complex organisations.
- Strong ability to translate strategic priorities into executable business plans, delivery roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Proven capability managing enterprise portfolios, investment decisions and benefits realisation to drive value and performance.
- Experience overseeing prioritisation, trade-off decisions, sequencing, dependency management and capacity planning across multiple initiatives.
- Strong governance and execution discipline, with a track record of improving delivery performance, accountability and organisational focus.
- Commercially astute, with experience managing investment portfolios, funding alignment, cost optimisation and value creation.
- Expertise in change leadership, including organisational readiness, stakeholder engagement, business adoption and transition management.
- Ability to simplify operating models, improve decision-making frameworks and drive productivity and efficiency outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and influence skills, with experience partnering across Strategy, Finance, Technology, Risk, People & Culture and Delivery functions.
- Proven people leadership experience, building high-performing teams, developing talent and fostering an inclusive, accountable culture.
Desirable knowledge and experience
- Experience operating within enterprise transformation offices and large-scale governance frameworks.
- Understanding of risk, regulatory and governance requirements within highly regulated environments.
- Technology and data literacy, with the ability to partner effectively with technology and data leaders to accelerate business outcomes.
- Experience in financial services or another complex, customer-focused and highly regulated industry.
