About this role
The Sales Account Manager 4, is a senior level Sales/Account Manager, with major responsibilities in managing an assigned territory/accounts in a region, to lead business development, to identify business opportunities, to maintain consistent business growth, and to work with all internal, and external parties, to maximize customer satisfaction and revenue bookings for the company.
This role applies expert judgment to achieve goals and objectives tied to functional targets, and mentors colleagues from different/cross teams, to provide strategic direction and to work with channel partners on customer/account engagements, also to drive cross-functional collaboration, to ensure customer success and long-term growth.
The candidate must understand compliance requirements from a US-based company, and have clean records on compliance checkings in other companies he or she had worked before.

What you will do
- Lead opportunities identifications and development activities on the assigned territories
- Lead complex sales processes, coordinating activities with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.
- Develop and implement strategies to expand Red Hat’s market presence and to maintain and to grow customer relationships.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other team members, sharing insights and best practices on handling customer accounts in the assigned territory
- Manage customer interactions at senior levels, addressing complex needs with innovative Red Hat solutions.
- Provide regular updates to managers/team leaders on business ideas, plans and progresses
- Ensure successful completion of projects by coordinating with various teams including sales, finance, legal, and product management.
- Proactively identify potential challenges in the sales cycle, developing solutions that benefit the customer and the business.
- Prospecting at an advanced level based on customer needs based on discovery, account planning and research.
- Maintain and complete timely records across multiple opportunities, using data to inform account planning, renewals, and engagement strategy.
- Build and maintain account plans for top accounts based on discovery and client research.
- Ability to openly discuss and map account plans directly with their clients and any relevant ecosystem partners.
- Able to provide clear view and position on sales forecasts
- Able to travel to Hong Kong office for internal meetings in a regular basis (every 2 weeks)
- Able to travel to customer sites, same day travel, within Greater Bay Area (South China within Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau)
- While Mandarin and Chinese communication is a must, he or she is also expected to be able to use English for basic verbal and written communications via email.
- Highly self-driven, results oriented, and able to work with team members from both China and Hong Kong as one team.
What you will bring
- 10+ years of experience as the primary owner/leader of the account ( not in an overlay support role), selling complex software solutions to medium to large enterprise in China, both State Owned and Private Owned companies
- Understanding China (mainly South China) customers IT needs to expand their business to oversea to fulfill compliance requirements
- Understanding of the complex decision making process in China customers and enterprises
- Ability to articulate complex value propositions, business cases and comprehensive technological strategies tailored to a wide range of decision-makers within an organization, including technical/engineering, business, and C-level audiences
- Candidates for consideration will bring a proven track record of exceeding sales quota, and territory/account development and will have experience as the primary contact for clients for all sales and related issues.
- Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout customer organizations.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields are preferred.
