About this role

Manage, develop, and implement projects of varying complexity and size in the Mechanical Engineering and power generation functional area. Utilize mechanical, electrical and engineering principles, and engineering skillsets to interpret technical specifications and ensure product suitability for power generation applications. Facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each engineering project, and work with business stakeholders and other engineers to establish project performance goals and to design project plan, develop timeline, identify project milestones, and track performance against performance goals and timeline. Develop a cross-functional schedule utilizing schedule management tools in order to drive completion within the agreed timeline. Create detailed resource plans that account for both expenses and headcount, ensuring the right resources at the right time and allocate resources efficiently, avoiding overallocation or underutilization applying experience with Project Resource Management. Evaluate customer single line/electrical drawings and schematics to verify compatibility with customer site conditions and generator requirements using knowledge with CREO/Auto-Cad. Confirm the equipment to be ordered meets the customer site requirements by leading the technical review process with collaborative engineering teams. Coordinate equipment specification adjustments. Act as the technical liaison between customers, contractors, and internal engineering teams to clarify requirements and resolve project issues applying knowledge of Salesforce. Use cross functional knowledge in the design and development of project plans to improve the overall effectiveness of Manufacturing Operations Excellence. Utilize engineering diagnosis tools including 7 step resolution process, FMEA (Failure modes and effects analysis) to identify equipment issues, minimize operational downtime and control the probability and/or impact of negative events or to maximize the realization of positive events. Coordinate PowerGen package commissioning plan, for installation, functional testing, and safety/government compliance certifications including NFPA 110 and Tier 4 Source Testing. Research, evaluate, and direct service technicians through startup and equipment failure resolutions. Coordinate seismic calculations and emissions certification applications with third party organizations.
